Aluflexpack employees on a trail race ProminaTrail 2022, Croatia

Aluflexpack’s employees from production plant Drniš in Croatia participated in the 8th edition of the ProminaTrail race, which took place on March 19th, 2022, on the slopes of Promina mountain.

As part of our Great Place to Work (GPTW) project, we are continuously committed to promoting health in all aspects of our business. By supporting this excellent initiative in the local community, we wanted to give our support to the volunteer association “Promina Mountaineering Association” and their activities which promote an active lifestyle and spending time in nature. We also want to motivate our employees to stay healthy, to socialize through team activities which strengthen the team spirit and to spend time outdoors.

About ProminaTrail and trail running

The trail on the mountain Promina has been held since 2013, after which three years in a row the Croatian Trail Championship and the Croatian Trail Cup were successfully organized.

“The simplest explanation of trail running is that it is a run that is not carried out on asphalt or paved path on which you run but in the nature. This of course does not mean that runners have to, as is often thought, go to the mountains or the forest to run a trail. As long as you runners do not run on paved paths or asphalt, it is about trail running. Enjoying nature, clean air and staying outdoors – it is the point of the trail running.”, explained Nikola Perlić from PD Promina Drniš
